Ocean City High School Softball Team Makes State Tournament
The Red Raiders are the No. 12 seed in South Jersey Group 3.

Ocean City, NJ -- The Ocean City High School softball team has a big mountain to climb, but it is in the running for a South Jersey title.
The Red Raiders are the No. 12 seed in the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 3 playoffs, according to brackets posted on nj.com on Tuesday.
Ocean City will visit No. 5 Mainland in the first round on Monday. May 23. The winner plays the winner of the game between No. 4 Seneca and No. 13 Toms River South in the quarterfinals on May 25.

The semifinals are scheduled for May 31, with the finals at Kean University on June 3.
Ocean City (9-8) defeated Mainland (12-8), 13-12, on April 26. Jackie Nesi’s walk-off single scored Rachael Zeides for the winning run in that game.

Ocean City is coming off a 19-9 win over Holy Spirit on Monday, and faces Absegami on Wednesday before the playoffs begin next week.
