Ocean City Holding Blood Drive 6/6

OCEAN CITY, NJ — The American Red Cross currently has less than a five-day blood supply on hand. But you can help in Ocean City.

The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, June 6 at the Stainton Room of St. Peter's UMC (501 E. 8th St.). For an appointment, register on redcrossblood.org or by calling 1-800-733-2767. If registering online, search by sponsor code: oc battle of the badges.

The Ocean City fire and police departments are co-sponsoring the blood drive as part of "Battle of the Badges." These blood drives help build camaraderie between first-responders through friendly competition to see who can recruit the most blood donors.

If you donate blood in honor of your favorite agency, you can get a special Battle t-shirt.
