Ocean City to Honor Those Lives Lost During 9/11 Terrorist Attacks
The city's annual ceremony is Friday night, 7 p.m. The football team will honor those who have served in the military before their game.

Ocean City will remember and honor those who lost their lives during the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, this Friday night.
The program will be held in front of the Fire House at 6th and Asbury Avenue, starting at 7 p.m.
It will begin with the “Striking of the Four Fives” by the Ocean City Fire and Rescue Services.

Ocean City Boy Scout Troop 32 will present the colors.
The Flag Salute will be led by Bob Marzulli, Commander of American Legion Post 524 and Clark Manley of the VFW.

Members of the Greater Ocean City Theatre Company will lead in the singing of the National Anthem.
Rev. John Jamieson, Ocean City Fire Department Chaplain, will present the invocation followed by Michael Dattilo who will introduce dignitaries.
Michael Morrissey, Commander of VFW Post 6650, will be the keynote speaker.
There will be the laying of a wreath by Ocean City Police and Fire Department Representatives.
The program will conclude with Remarks and Benediction by Rev. Drena Money Garrett of St. James AME and the rendition of “God Bless America” by Julia Mary Wilson.
The Ocean City High School football team’s season opener is Friday night, 7 p.m., at home against Absegami. Prior to kickoff, both teams will walk onto the field with family, friends and guests who are serving or have served in the armed forces and as first responders.
