OCEAN CITY, NJ — After 22 games, Cris Pannullo's "Jeopardy!" winning streak has come to an end.

The Ocean City trivia whiz ends with a win streak of 21 games (the sixth-most consecutive wins in the show's history), a total of $749,268 (his winnings, plus an extra $1,000 for coming in third; also the fifth-highest winnings in during regular season play) and a spot secured in next year's "Tournament of Champions."

In an interview posted on the official "Jeopardy!" website, Pannullo said that "to go 20-plus games is like the greatest streak of luck I'll ever have in my life."

He was unseated by Andy Tirell, a political science and international relations professor from San Diego, after Pannullo lost in the Final Jeopardy.

Pannullo quickly became a fan favorite during his streak. He was noted for his risk-taking, spending the games chasing Daily Doubles.

But he assured host Ken Jennings that he was absolutely not a risk-taker in real life.

What's his plan for all that money? He previously told Jennings he wanted to buy a house, joking that he could "splurge" on a nice tent or shack, considering New Jersey's real estate prices.

Well, with $749,268, Pannullo might be able to make a down payment in Ocean City.
