Ocean City Man Charged with Sexual Assault in Invasion of Boardwalk Home
Francis T. Delcorio, 60, is accused of forcing his way into a home on the 1700 block of the Boardwalk.

A 60-year-old Ocean City man was arrested and charged with aggravated sexual assault, criminal restraint and burglary force after a Feb. 7 incident at a home on the 1700 block of the Boardwalk.
Francis T. Delcorio, a resident of Bartram Lane, is being held at the Cape May County Correctional Facility on $200,000 cash bail.
He is accused of forcing his way into a home where an alleged victim had fallen asleep on a living-room sofa while watching television. She was awoken about 4 a.m. by the sound of somebody forcing his way into her home through a door, according to a written statement from the Ocean City Police Department.

Police say the intruder attacked the victim by holding her down and punching her in the face. The victim fought back, yelled and eventually succeeded in forcing the alleged attacker to flee the home.
The victim told police the intruder tried to sexually assault her during the attack.

Detectives used surveillance video from a boardwalk business to help identify a suspect. The video and evidence gathered at the scene led to a Feb. 16 arrest at Delcorio's home on Bartram Lane, according to police.
The investigation is being conducted by Det. Mark Pancoast and Det. Stephen Schaffer in conjunction with the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office.
