Ocean City Man Dies In Motorcycle Crash: Police

UPPER TOWNSHIP, N.J. — An Ocean City man died Wednesday after his motorcycle veered off the road and hit a utility pole, police said. Dennis Noble, 56, was pronounced dead on the scene.

State Police responded to the crash at 7:26 p.m. on the southbound side of Route 9 near milepost 22.5, Trooper Alejandro Goez said. The crash is under investigation.

Noble was from Philadelphia but loved living in Ocean City. He called himself a professional "beach bum," according to a GoFundMe for his memorial fund.

"Our only comfort is that his final moments were spend riding the motorcycle he loved," Kate Noble said. Kate called Dennis a "vivacious, loving man."

He is survived by his son, stepchildren and his spouse, Linda. Noble's memorial fund has raised $1,940 as of Friday afternoon.
