Ocean City Is NJ's Favorite Beach For 9th Straight Year

Ocean City remained king as the results of NJ Sea Grant Consortium's annual poll were revealed.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — For the ninth straight year, Ocean City was voted as New Jersey's favorite beach.

Winners were announced at a ceremony held at Ocean City Music Pier on July 8.

The annual poll through NJ Sea Grant Consortium chooses favorite beaches by county and overall. Ocean City kept its spot as the favorite beach anywhere in New Jersey.

"Every year, we face new challenges. But Ocean City remains the best beach in the state and a beloved place for generations of families," Mayor Jay Gillian said in a statement.

"I want to congratulate and thank the city team, our public works and public safety departments, the Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Tourism Development Commission, the Boardwalk and Downtown Merchants associations, local businesses, all volunteer groups and the entire community in making Ocean City a wonderful town to live, work and play," Gillian said.
