Ocean City Nor'easters To Host Fundraiser Tuesday Night

Proceeds will benefit local youth soccer and hospitality and care for visiting teams.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — The Friends of the Ocean City Nor'easters Foundation will hold its first fundraiser on Tuesday night, April 25, at Sofia Restaurant in Margate. The foundation is the charitable wing of the Ocean City Nor’easters soccer club, established to spread the love of the game of soccer while enhancing the dynamic integration of the Nor'easters organization into the heart of the South Jersey community, the club said on Monday morning. Tuesday night’s fundraiser will include heavy hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar featuring some signature cocktails, including "The Nor'easter" and music.

There will also be some games and contests, such as "the hat trick" where fans can guess how many total candies there are in three jars to win a pair of Nor'easters season tickets ($5 per entry). There will also be a silent auction. Tickets for the fundraiser are $25 per person.

The foundation will use proceeds from the event to create scholarship opportunities for local youth soccer players, expand and enhance Nor'easters community soccer programs, and improve hospitality and care of Premier Development League (PDL) players who are coming to Ocean City from all over the world.
