Ocean City Nor'easters Host Inaugural Blue and Orange Game May 14
The club likens the game to a college football spring game, and says it will help players and coaches get up to game speed.

Ocean City, NJ -- The Ocean City Nor’easters men’s soccer club will kick its 2016 season off a little early.
The Nor’easters will host their inaugural Blue and Orange Game on Saturday, May 14, 7 p.m.-9 p.m. at Carey Stadium.
The game will include the club's full PDL squad, as well as players from the Under-23 and Under-20 teams.

The club likens the game to a college football spring game, and says it will give players and coaches a chance to get up to game speed for the season, and “have some fun with the fans in the process.”
"Every summer, our fans are eager to get to know the players and see the team on the field. The Blue & Orange game is the perfect opportunity," Nor'easters General Manager Kevin Nuss said. "The game gives our supporters a chance to see all of our first-team players, as well as some of our young stars from the U20s and U23s."

Fans can meet the team the day of the game at Ocean City's Spring Block Party from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. or at Chickie's & Pete's on the boardwalk from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Fans can also meet the team the day before the Blue and Orange Game at Buffalo Wild Wings at the Hamilton Mall. The day after the match, another meet the team event will be held at Sandi Pointe in Somers Point where there will be a cash bar and an all-you-can-eat menu. At each team event, there will games, prizes, and giveaways including free game tickets.
The club will also debut a brand new halftime game, “Storm Ball,” featuring a 6-foot soccer ball. Children will have the chance to get on the field and play during halftime.
"In addition to the Ocean City Spring Block Party, we are happy to be working with our partners Buffalo Wild Wings, Chickie's and Pete's and Sandi Pointe, to provide our fans a chance to meet our players while also enjoying some delicious food and drinks," Nuss said.
