Players will split up by skill and age group.

Ocean City, NJ -- The Ocean City Nor’easters men’s soccer club’s Summer Vacation Camp returns to give kids the chance to learn the game of soccer, the club said Tuesday morning.

"We are proud to be the only camp in South Jersey that is able to provide campers with some of the top coaches in the country," Ocean City Nor’easters General Manager Kevin Nuss said. "The camp also provides the unique experience of working with the next generation of professional players."

Ocean City Nor'easters assistant coaches Arthur "Skip" Roderick and Christos Economopoulos are the Camp Directors.

Roderick also coaches the Elizabethtown men's soccer team. He has been the head coach at his alma mater since the 1983 season. He is 502-140-58 with 17 NCAA Division III Tournament appearances, five NCAA Regional Championships, and the 1989 Division III National Championship in 33 years of coaching.

Last year, he won his sixth conference Coach of the Year award and coached 193 all-conference players, and ranks fourth in wins among active NCAA Division III coaches and eighth all-time.

Economopoulos, who also serves as the Academy Director, joined the Nor'easters technical staff for the 2013 season as a sports therapist. He has expertise in the fields of strength and conditioning, sports massage, and player recovery.

His job is to ensure that every player on the roster is able to perform at an optimum level throughout the season.

After earning a National Certificate in Exercise and Fitness from the University of Limerick in his home nation of Ireland, Christos has also earned a professional qualification in Massage and Sports Therapy as well as coaching badges from both UEFA and the Football Association of Ireland.

Nor’easter players will also provide their expertise in teaching the campers the proper way of learning how to play the game of soccer.

To date, more than 50 players have moved on from the Nor’easters to play the game professionally both in the United States and abroad. Some of those players are playing the game locally with Ken Tribbett and John McCarthy both playing for the Philadelphia Union of Major League Soccer.
