Ocean City Opens Summer Concerts, Rolls Out July Events And Night In Venice Plans

The Music Pier season opens this week as Ocean City also previews weekly July events and Night in Venice plans.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Ocean City is opening its summer entertainment season this week with two Music Pier shows while also previewing a packed calendar of events stretching through July and into Night in Venice.

The season opener for the Ocean City Pops is set for 7:30 p.m. Sunday, June 28, and the Boardwalk Summer Concert Series begins at 7 p.m. Monday, June 29.

The Pops will begin the 2026 season with a “One Man Rat Pack” show featuring Brandon Tomasello. According to the announcement, Tomasello will present “the timeless and unmistakable sounds of the Sinatra era” and perform music associated with Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. Tickets are on sale online at oceancityvacation.com/box-office and in person at the Ocean City Music Pier Box Office and welcome centers in town.

Straight No Chaser will open the Boardwalk Summer Concert Series with its 2026 “Beach Bash” show on Monday. The nine-member a cappella group has been a popular act in previous visits to the Music Pier, according to the announcement. Tickets are available at etix.com and at the Music Pier Box Office.

The city’s summer calendar also includes the annual Antique Auto Show on Saturday, June 27, with more than 300 vintage vehicles scheduled for display on the Tabernacle grounds at Sixth Street and Asbury Avenue from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. A parade on the Boardwalk will follow after 2 p.m.

On Sunday, June 28, the Ocean City Skate Park will host the free all-girls Chica De Mayo skate park party starting at 10 a.m.

Weekly family programming begins in July, with recurring beach exercise classes, Boardwalk family nights, beach walks, Market Days, Fantastic Tuesdays and Mummers Nights. New weekly events this year include the “America 250: Lights Over Ocean City Drone Show” on Mondays and the 34th Street Sandcastle Park Summer Entertainment Series on Wednesdays.

The drone show will run after dusk on seven Mondays from July 6 through August 17 over the beach and Boardwalk south of Sixth Street. According to the announcement, the 15-minute show will feature hundreds of drones and is supported by a $25,000 grant from the Cape May County Board of Commissioners, sponsorships from Boardwalk merchants and city funding. The 34th Street series will run from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. from July 8 through August 19.

Ocean City also announced that ticket sales open at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, for a special Night in Venice viewing area at the Bayside Center, 520 Bay Ave., for the July 25 boat parade. The city said the site will include family entertainment, bleacher seating, a snack stand and shuttle access from remote parking areas. Registration is also open for new Little Miss Night in Venice and Junior Miss Night in Venice pageants.

“It’s exciting to see our annual Night in Venice celebration continue to grow with new elements each year,” Mayor Jay Gillian said.
