Ocean City Paper Shredding, Household Cleanup Days Coming Up
The semi-annual Paper Shredding and Electronic Cleanup Day is coming up.
OCEAN CITY, NJ — Ocean City will hold its semi-annual Paper Shredding and Electronic Recycling Day from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 12 at the Shelter Road Recycling Center located off Tennessee Avenue.
The event is free for residents and property owners in Ocean City. Just bring a driver's license or other proof of residency/ownership.
Paper Shredding:

- Paper only; paper clips and staples acceptable.
- Paper shredding by a highly secure, mobile shredding unit.
Electronic Recycling:
- Small appliances, televisions, stereos, camcorders
- Computers, monitors, laptops and desk phones
- Also collecting CFL light bulbs
Cell Phone Recycling Program:

- Bring your old cell phones that will be exchanged for phone cards for soldiers overseas.
The Shelter Road Recycling Center will also be open noon to 3 p.m. Oct. 11 and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 12 for Household Cleanup Days. Residents and homeowners can bring unwanted trash, furniture, cell phones and recycling. No contractors, construction or demolition debris, and no fluids, paints or hazardous waste permitted.
