OCEAN CITY, NJ — Dads are known for their advice. It's part of the job, right? For Father's Day, Patch asked Facebook readers for the best piece of advice their father ever gave them. And Ocean City.

Many shared advice on how to treat others.

"Never look down at anyone unless you are giving them a hand up," Mindy Piccioni said.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, Valerie Bragdon Crawford's dad said "Don't trust too many people."

Sometimes, it's not about the things you say - it's about what you do. Matt Brower shared this sentiment.

"He wasn't the type for big inspirational talks," he said. "It was the things he did that stayed with me and taught me how to be a dad long after he was gone."

However, possibly the most truthful answer came from Marty Birmingham, quoting his dad:

"Don't tell your mother we had McDonalds for breakfast and egg rolls for lunch!"
