Ocean City PD To Hold Ceremony For New, Promoted Officers

Recently appointed Chief Jay Prettyman and about 20 other officers will receive recognition.

The Ocean City Police Department has plenty of new faces, and promoted faces. The department will honor them all in a ceremony at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Ocean City Tabernacle (550 Wesley Ave.).

"The last 18 months have been a transformational time for all of us here at the police department," Ocean City PD wrote on Facebook. "Numerous retirements, promotions and hirings have occurred. We feel that the changes that have been made will allow us to continue to offer the friendly and professional police services our residents and guests have come to expect."
