Ocean City PD To Host 'Coffee With Cops'

The Ocean City Police Department will hold an opportunity for conversation and questions in a low-key environment. "Coffee With Cops" takes place from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Dead End Bakehouse (1050 Bay Avenue).

"The Coffee with Cops program gives the citizens we serve the opportunity to meet our officers and ask questions in a casual atmosphere," the OCPD wrote on their Facebook event page.

The event puts an emphasis on community policing, which recently appointed Chief John J. Prettyman has emphasized.

“In a customer-service model, our citizens really are our customers and we’re really trying to provide the highest level of service that we can,” Prettyman told the Press of Atlantic City. “My goal for now, really, is to keep doing what we do and keep trying to do it better.”
