Ocean City Pitcher Opens Playoff Run With No-Hitter

Zachary Altieri has yet to allow a hit in this year’s playoffs.
Altieri pitched a no-hitter, fanning 13 batters in the Ocean City High School baseball team’s 10-0 win over Camden Tech in the first round of the NJSIAA South Jersey Group III playoffs on Monday, according to nj.com.
Altieri pitched five innings for the top-seeded Red Raiders, who will face No. 8 Winslow in the second round on May 21.

The Red Raiders exploded for eight runs in the fourth inning to pull ahead of No. 16 Camden Tech.
At the plate, Dom Fiorentino was 3-for-3 with a double and Zachary Zellers was 3-for-3 with a triple. Jeremy West had a home run.
