Ocean City Police To Crack Down On Traffic Safety For The Holidays

The campaign runs over the course of six weeks beginning Nov. 21. Police will focus on a different area each week.

Ocean City, NJ -- The Ocean City Police Department will conduct a zero tolerance traffic safety awareness campaign during the holiday season, police said on Monday.

The campaign runs over the course of six weeks beginning Nov. 21. Police will focus on a different area each week.

The following is the list of targeted violations, and when they will be most strictly enforced:
  • Week of Nov. 21: Truck Route Violations
  • Week of Nov. 28: Cell Phone Use (Distracted Driving)
  • Week of Dec. 5: Equipment And Inspection Violations
  • Week of Dec. 12: Wearing Seatbelts/Child Restraint Laws
  • Week of Dec. 19: Stop Sign Violations
  • Week of Dec. 26: Speeding
