Ocean City Quarterback Sets School Record In Win Over Middle Township

The Red Raiders defeated the Panthers, 40-37, on Friday.

Ocean City, NJ -- Andrew Donoghue set a school record with 341 passing yards in the Ocean City High School football team’s 40-37 win over Middle Township on Friday, nj.com reports.

He was 16-of-26 passing, with four touchdowns. He also scored on a 1-yard touchdown run.

He threw a pair of touchdown passes to Matt Lashley, one of 14 yards and one of 45 yards. He also connected with Isaac Robertson on a 79-yard scoring strike, and hit Luciano Lubrano with a 22-yard pass for a score.

Middle Township held a 29-18 lead at halftime, but the Red Raiders shut out the Panthers, 14-0, in the third quarter to take a 3-point lead they never relinquished.

Ocean City (2-3) visits Mainland (0-5) on Friday night, 6 p.m.
