Ocean City School District to Accept Applications for Vacant Board Seat
Ray Clark resigned effective May 14.

The Ocean City School District will be accepting applications in the coming weeks to fill the vacancy on it the Board of Education, Ocean City Schools Business Administrator Mark Ritter said on Friday.
Following the application process, the Board will appoint a replacement for Ray Clark, who resigned from the board effective May 14. Ritter said information will be posted on the school district’s website, but had not been posted as of Friday afternoon.
The Board of Education accepted Clark’s resignation at Wednesday night’s meeting. Clark first joined the board in 2011, and was in the middle of his second three-year term.

Ritter was unable to say why Clark resigned. According to the Ocean City Gazette, Clark resigned to avoid a conflict of interest. His brother, Ryan, is the new assistant boys swim coach at the school.
