Ocean City Schools 2019-20 Calendar

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Don't let this news stop you from enjoying summer, but the first bell of the 2019-20 school year is less than two months away.

Here are some key dates for the upcoming year in the Ocean City School District:

• First day of school: Sept. 5
• Intermediate School Back to School Night: Sept. 19
• High School Back to School Night: Sept. 20
• Primary School Back to School Night: Sept. 26
• Columbus Day, no school: Oct. 14
• New Jersey Education Association convention, no school: Nov. 7-8
• Closed for Thanksgiving: Nov. 28-29
• Winter recess: Dec. 23 to Jan. 1
• School resumes: Jan. 2
• Martin Luther King Jr. Day, school closed: Jan. 20
• President's Day, school closed: Feb. 17
• School closed for students, staff in service: March 27
• Spring recess: April 10-17
• School resumes: April 20
• ELA and math state assessments window, Grades 3-11: April 20 to May 29
• Science state assessments window, Grades 5, 8 and 11: May 4 to June 5
• AP exams: May 4-15
• Memorial Day, school closed: May 25
• High School final exams: June 10-12, June 15-16
• Last day of school for students (tentative): June 16
• High School graduation (tentative): June 16
