Ocean City Sets Up Hotline To Report Road Damage
The hotline was established after the recent weather took a toll on the island's roads.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Ocean City has set up a hotline for residents to report potholes or streets in need of immediate repair after the recent weather took its toll on the island's roads, Mayor Jay Gillian announced on Friday. The hotline was set up by the Ocean City Public Works Department.
"The temperature extremes and the extensive plowing during last week’s blizzard have been hard on our roads," Gillian said. "Call 609-525-9271 any time 24 hours a day or visit www.ocnj.us/pothole to let us know what work needs to be done."
Weather also delayed work on the Boardwalk Reconstruction Project, but work has since resumed and is expected to wrap up on schedule.

"Work on the neighborhood drainage project in the Fourth Ward will resume on Monday," Gillian added in his weekly update. "We’ve awarded a $7.9 million contract for another neighborhood drainage project in the First Ward in the area between First Street and Eighth Street, and work there is expected to begin in February. A separate project to improve surrounding streets in the First Ward began today."
