Ocean City Sets July 7 Bike Auction

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Ocean City will hold its annual Bike Auction on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at the Shelter Road Compound, with bidding set to begin at 10 a.m. Registration starts at 9:15 a.m., according to auction information released by the city.

The site is at the Shelter Road Compound, which is the first left off Tennessee Avenue behind the Ocean City Municipal Golf Course.

The auction will include bicycles and other items that have been deemed abandoned or unclaimed by the Ocean City Police Department, according to the announcement. The city said it has approximately 70 bicycles ready to be auctioned off. A rain date is set for July 8.

People planning to bid will need a driver's license, passport or other valid identification to register, according to the auction information. Payment will be limited to bank checks with identification, local checks and cash. Credit and debit cards will not be accepted.

The auction is scheduled to run from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the compound. The notice invites residents and visitors to come to the site and bid on the available items.
