Ocean City Student to Compete in Regional Spelling Bee

Ocean City Intermediate School eighth-grader Austin Fox will try to earn a trip to the Scripps National Spelling Bee when he joins the Spelling Bee champions from the other Atlantic and Cape May elementary and middle schools in the regional bee Saturday at Galloway Township Middle School.

Fox, who was named the top scholar in seventh grade last year, joins 30 other champions for the South Jersey Spelling Bee on March 23. The competition is scheduled to take place between 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
