Ocean City Students Earn Regional Broadcast News Awards

OCEAN CITY, N.J. — Who says journalism is dying? Ocean City high school students earned two awards Tuesday in broadcast news from the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

Jacob Schneider (reporter) and Zachary Card (videographer) earned an award in "General Assignment: Light News" for a feature called "WAWA Addiction."

Several students earned honors for the "Magazine Program." The following students worked on "The Current OC - February 7th Edition."

The NATAS Mid-Atlantic Chapter's Student Production Awards recognize achievements from students across New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware. All nominees received individualized academy certificates. Each winning entry earned a crystal award, engraved with school information.
