Ocean City Students to Learn Importance of Water in National Initiative
Imagine a Day Without Water events take place in the school district on Thursday.

New Jersey American Water will hold a series of events at Ocean City schools that it says “will help students appreciate the value of water” on Thursday as part of the national advocacy and educational event, “Imagine a Day Without Water.” The national campaign runs Oct. 6-8.
“We are excited that the Ocean City School District chose to partner with us on this important effort,” Peter A. Eschbach, the company’s director of communications and external affairs, said. “The events we have planned with them will help the students better appreciate the value of water while having fun at the same time.
At Ocean City High School, students in a video production class will create an infomercial about water with company employees and students from the Environmental and Interact clubs.

“We are thrilled that New Jersey American Water and the Ocean City School District are joining ‘Imagine a Day Without Water.’ The truth is, of course, we can’t go a day without water. For homes, that would mean no water to take a shower, make coffee, clean, do laundry, or flush the toilet. For businesses, from restaurants to manufacturing plants, water is essential to daily operations,” Radhika Fox, Director of the Value of Water Coalition, said. “During ‘Imagine a Day Without Water,’ we’re speaking with one voice across the nation about how water is essential, invaluable, and needs investment.”
