Ocean City Summer Trash Schedule Starts Monday

Summer trash and recycling collection runs until Sept. 7.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Ocean City's summer trash and recycling collection schedule begins Monday, June 10 and runs through Sept. 7. The schedule includes twice-weekly pickup.

Here is the schedule:

  • Longport Bridge to north end of 9th Street: Monday and Thursday (yard waste Thursday)
  • South side of 9th Street to north side of 28th Street: Tuesday and Friday (yard waste Tuesday)
  • South side of 28th Street to 59th Street: Wednesday and Saturday (yard waste Wednesday)

Containers must be 32 gallons or less. Recycling and yard waste cannot be placed in plastic bags and must be put in labeled containers. Labels are available for free at City Hall (9th Street and Asbury Avenue) or the Knight Building (12th Street and Haven Avenue). Here's Ocean City's "Recycling Do's and Dont's."

The regular pickup schedule continues on Independence Day and Labor Day. The only holidays that interrupt the regular schedule in Ocean City are Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.
