Ocean City Theatre Company to Hold Auditions March 13

Ocean City, NJ -- The Greater Ocean City Theatre Company will hold auditions for its upcoming season on Sunday, March 13 at the Ocean City Music Pier.

Auditions will take place for two Broadway style productions including West Side Story and Disney’s The Little Mermaid.

It will also be casting adult actors for their 2016 Theatre-For-Young Audiences (TYA) season. TYA shows include A Year With Frog and Toad, Alice in Wonderland, James and the Giant Peach, The Princess and the Pirate, and Pinkalicious the Musical.

These shows will be performed in Ocean City, Cape May and at Stockton University.

Auditions are by appointment only. Performers should prepare two contrasting 16-32 bar selections and be ready to dance if asked.

A musical theatre/jazz dance combination will be taught. If needed callbacks may be held after the dance calls. No kids or youth under the age of 17 will be seen at this audition. Accompanist provided. Information about auditions for kids/youth will be available in March.

Those interested in casting should have daytime availability for rehearsals and professional/college theatre experience.

On March 14 and 15, the Ocean City Theatre Company will head to the Big Apple for their open call in New York City. It expects to see over 500 musical theatre performers between the three auditions.
