Ocean City Theatre Company To Open Children's Series With 'Winnie the Pooh'
The July 7 show at the Ocean City Music Pier starts OCTC's 2026 Children's Theatre Series.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Ocean City families are invited to the Ocean City Music Pier on Tuesday, July 7, when Ocean City Theatre Company opens its 2026 Children's Theatre Series with "Winnie the Pooh." The performance begins at 10:30 a.m. at the historic boardwalk venue.
Based on the stories by A.A. Milne, the production follows Pooh Bear and his friends from the Hundred Acre Wood. According to the announcement, the show is built around friendship, imagination and fun, and is aimed at audiences of all ages. The company said its Children's Theatre Series has been creating summer memories for children and families for more than 14 years.
"We are excited kickoff our 2026 Summer Children’s Theatre Series to the Music Pier for this charming and imaginative production," said Michael Hartman, Artistic Director of Ocean City Theatre Company. "'Winnie the Pooh' is a timeless story that celebrates kindness, friendship, and adventure, making it a wonderful theatre experience for children and adults alike."

The July 7 show is part of OCTC's annual children's lineup, which introduces young audiences to live performance. All of this summer's productions are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. at the Music Pier.
The rest of the series includes "How I Became a Pirate" on July 14, "The Berenstain Bears" on July 21, "Junie B. Jones" on July 28 and "Schoolhouse Rock Live!" on August 4. According to the announcement, the performances are designed to engage, entertain and inspire young audiences.

OCTC also acknowledged support for its arts programming from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, which it described as a partner agency of the National Endowment for the Arts, and from the Cape May County Division of Culture & Heritage. According to the announcement, that funding helps make arts programming accessible to residents and visitors throughout the region.
Tickets for "Winnie the Pooh" and the rest of the Children's Theatre Series are available at oceancitytheatrecompany.com. Advance tickets cost $11, and tickets bought on the day of the performance are $13. The OCTC box office at the Music Pier opens at 9:30 a.m. on show days.
