Ocean City-Upper Township to Play Toms River for State Title Monday Night
Ocean City-Upper Township forced a title game with a win on Sunday, the Press of Atlantic City reports.
The Ocean City-Upper Township 11-12 year old baseball team will play Toms River one more time.
On Monday night, it will be for the New Jersey Little League state title. The winner will compete in the Eastern Regionals for a shot at the Little League World Series.
Joe Gallagher was 3-for-3 with four RBI and picked up the win on the mound as Ocean City-Upper Township downed Toms River, 10-6, on Sunday, The Press of Atlantic City reports.

Toms River defeated Ocean City-Upper Township on Friday, but the first Cape May County squad to compete in the state championship tournament since 1957 defeated Somerset Hills on Saturday to emerge from the Loser’s Bracket.
Had Toms River won on Sunday, it would have captured the state title. That didn’t happen, and now a third meeting between the teams on Monday night will be for all the marbles.
