The Woofin Paws Pet Fashion Show is also scheduled for April 4 at Carey Stadium, 6th Street off Boardwalk.

Prizes will be awarded in various categories, including Best Dressed, Bathing Suit, Best Tail Wagger, Intelligent Pet Tricks, and others.

A Best of Show Award, the Woofin’ Paws Plaque for Perfection, honors the memory of Dean Schofield, a valued volunteer in the City’s Public Relations Office. It was Schofield who suggested the show be named “Woofin’ Paws,” according to Ocean City Public Relations Director Mark Soifer.

The Easter Sunrise Service, a traditional, non-denominational program by the sea, is set for April 5, 6:30 a.m. at the Music Pier, Boardwalk and Moorlyn Terrace. The public is invited.

The Easter Fashion Promenade and fashion competition begins at 1 p.m. the same day, in front of the Music Pier. The Easter Bunny will be on hand, presenting free chocolate bunnies to children. The bunny will be available to take photos.
