Ocean City's Rachel Stremme to Continue Running Career at Penn

Ocean City High School senior Rachel Stremme won’t be going far to continue her track and field career.

Stremme will attend the University of Pennsylvania, The Press of Atlantic City reports.

Stremme’s performance in the 800 at the Meet of Champions caught the eye of the Penn coaching staff, according to the report. She finished the course in 2 minutes, 9.84 seconds, third fastest in Ocean City history.

She’s cut 14 seconds off her time in the race since 2012, according to njmilesplit.com.

She also runs cross country and was sixth in the Cape-Atlantic League championship race this fall.
