Ocean City's Reorganization Meeting Set for Wednesday
Council will appoint and elect a president and vice president, and consider salary increases for employees.
In addition to the nomination and election of council president and vice president, Ocean City Council will consider a pair of ordinances concerning salaries at its annual reorganization meeting on Wednesday, 1 p.m. at City Hall.
The first ordinance deals with salary increases for the directors of financial management, police services and fire and rescue services. It includes a 1.5 percent increase to the base salary pay effective Jan. 1, 2015, and a 1.25 percent increase each of the next three years, according to the agenda packet.
The second ordinance proposes a 1.5 percent increase for the City Clerk as of Jan. 1, 2015; and a 1.25 percent increase each of the next three years.

Additionally, council will appoint Councilman Antwan McClellan to the Planning Board; Councilman Michael DeVlieger as Liaison to the Utility Advisory Commission; and authorizing the execution of the collective bargaining agreement with the Ocean City Lifeguard Association.
