OCHS Scholarship Dinner Set for Thursday, Nov. 3

The sixth annual event includes a buffet featuring the specialties of local chefs.

The public has a chance on Thursday to sample some of the top dishes of area chefs while helping Ocean City High School students attend college next year.

The six annual takes place 5 to 7 p.m. Nov. 3 in the  cafeteria.

The centerpiece of the event is a buffet featuring the specialties of 16 Ocean City and mainland chefs. The evening also includes music by Ocean City High School teacher Tym Cox and his jazz-rock ensemble, door prizes, and students and staff role-playing as celebrities as part of the event's "Dining With the Stars" theme.

Tickets are $25 per person and $10 for children ages 4 to 10. There is no admission for children age 3 and under.

All proceeds benefit scholarships for the Ocean City High School Class of 2012. Last year, the event raised more than $5,000 for OCHS senior scholarships.

  • Ralph Declemente of : assorted breads and rolls
  • Aimee and Mikey Repici of : Chatterbox clam chowder
  • Herb Allwood and Pamela Womble of : Jerk Pork
  • Reds Brigdens of : Rojo's enchiladas
  • Jon and Patty Talese of : White bean and chicken chili
  • Paul Stryker of : Chicken and pasta soup
  • Bill McGinnity of : Cousin's salad
  • Andy Yoa of : Mini crab cakes
  • John and Sharon Szabo of : Curried chicken pot pie with feta scones
  • Alan Feng of Island Shore: General Tso's chicken

The lineup of chefs also includes Christian Raucci of CJ's Corner Grill, Michael Carmody of Greate Bay Country Club, Kevin Scull of , Walter Hohman of and Jennifer Bowman of Cakes by Jennifer.
