Mayor Jay Gillian will join school officials to mark the occasion at 5:30 p.m. Dr. Buzz Mingin will speak at 6 p.m. Mingin is a New Jersey Certified School Worker, a Certified Forensic Counselor and a Behavior Specialist, specializing in children and adolescents who suffer behavioral and emotional difficulties. At the event, he will discuss high anxiety in children and adolescents. The event is free and will provide light refreshments.

“Our Wellness Center is an innovative new environment where the students can, confidentially, come to talk with our staff about any issues they may be having, decompress and enjoy a quiet moment during their busy days,” Ocean City High School Nurse Jill Berenato said. “We look forward to opening our doors and having the community be able to meet members of our Child Study and Wellness Team.”
