Paper Shredding and Electronics Recycling Day Is Today
The services will be provided free to Ocean City residents 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Oct. 29 at the Shelter Road Recycling Center.

Paper Shredding and Electronics Recycling Day will be held 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Shelter Road Recycling Center off Tennessee Avenue.
The service is free to Ocean City residents with a valid driver's license or other form of valid identification.
The shredding service is provided by a highly secure, mobile shredding unit that accepts all types of paper as well as paper clips and staples. Residents should bring paper in paper bags or boxes to the mobile shredding unit that will be located in the parking area of the Shelter Road Recycling Center.

Electronics accepted include small appliances, televisions, stereos, camcorders, computers, monitors, laptops and desk phones. Only items less than 50 pounds will be accepted.
For larger items, call the Ocean City Public Works Department at 609-399-6111, Monday to Friday, 8:45 a.m.-4:30 p.m. to schedule pickup. Residents may also bring old cell phones and chargers that will be collected by the Marine Corps League's Cell Phone Recycling Program. The program exchanges old cell phones for phone cards for soldiers stationed overseas.
