Paper Shredding, Recycling Day In Ocean City This Weekend
This event is free to residents and property owners in Ocean City.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Ocean City will hold its semi-annual Paper Shredding and Electronic Recycling Day from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 5, at the Shelter Road Recycling Center located off of Tennessee Avenue.
This event is free to residents and property owners in Ocean City. Residents should bring a driver's license or other proof of residency/home ownership.
The following guidelines are in effect:

Paper Shredding:
- Paper only; paper clips and staples acceptable.
- Paper shredding by a highly secure, mobile shredding unit.
Electronic Recycling:

- Small appliances, televisions, stereos, camcorders
- Computers, monitors, laptops and desk phones
- Also collecting CFL light bulbs
Cell Phone Recycling Program:
- Bring your old cell phones that will be exchanged for phone cards for soldiers overseas.
The Shelter Road Recycling Center also will be open noon to 3 p.m. on Friday, May 4, and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 5, for Household Cleanup Days. Residents and homeowners can bring unwanted trash, furniture, cell phones and recycling. No contractors, construction or demolition debris, and no fluids, paints, or hazardous waste permitted.
