Parkway Pedestrian Struck, Killed In Somers Point: Police
Zachary Fulmer, 20, was killed after being hit by a car on the Garden State Parkway early Saturday, New Jersey State Police said.
SOMERS POINT, NJ β A 20-year-old pedestrian was killed after he was hit by a car on the Garden State Parkway early Saturday, New Jersey State Police said.
Zachary Fulmer, of Marmora, was walking south in the northbound lanes of the Parkway in Somers Point around 2:43 a.m. on Aug. 27 when he was struck by a Jeep Compass heading north, NJSP Trooper Brandi Slota told Patch.
Fulmer was hit around milepost 28.5, Slota said. It was not immediately clear if the driver stayed at the scene or if authorities know the driver's identity.

Fulmer died from his injuries, she said. The investigation is ongoing and no further information is available as of Monday morning, Slota said.
