Atlantic City Electric has the outage planned for Monday, Feb. 26.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Atlantic City Electric has a planned power outage set for next week, Ocean City Mayor Jay Gillian said in his weekly update. The planned outage is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 26, 9 a.m. in the area between North Street and 13th Street. It is expected to last no more than 15 minutes, and reminders will be sent to residents in the affected area as the outage approaches, Gillian said.
In his weekly update, Gillian also announced that Ocean City Police Chief Chad Callahan will be out on medical leave for an orthopedic surgery starting next Friday. Capt. Jay Prettyman will serve as interim chief during that time.
"I hope you’ll all join me in wishing Chad a speedy rehabilitation," Gillian said.

"The Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce welcomed its new officers at an installation dinner" last week, according to Gillian. "Congratulations to Dave Allegretto, the new president. The partnership between the Chamber and the city is vital to the success of many events and programs in Ocean City, and I look forward to working with Dave. As an Ocean City native, financial planner and long-time community volunteer, he will be perfectly suited for the job. I want to thank Carol Heenan for doing an exceptional job as president for the past two years. I also want to commend the directors and board members who volunteer their time to help all businesses in town."
