Police Investigate Sudden Death Of 13-Year-Old Boy in Cape May County

Police are investigating the sudden death of a 13-year-old boy in Cape May County. The boy was found unresponsive in his bed at his home in the Rio Grande section of Middle Township at about 10:12 a.m. Sunday, police said Monday morning.

AtlantiCare medics responded to the scene, and the boy was pronounced dead at the scene.
The boy died sometime during the night, according to Middle Township Police.

The cause of death is unknown, and the incident remained under investigation Monday morning. The Middle Township Police Major Crimes Unit and the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office are investigating.
