Power Outages Expected With Wind Advisory In Ocean City

OCEAN CITY, NJ - Scattered power outages are expected in Ocean City Wednesday, as a Wind Advisory will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., city officials said.

The National Weather Service is predicting winds of 20 mph to 30 mph, with gusts as strong as 50 mph. Strong winds could blow down limbs, trees and power lines, which could lead to scattered power outages.

City officials warn that driving could be difficult. Residents are advised to secure lightweight outdoor objects such as deck furniture, garbage cans and holiday decorations.

Job sites should also be secured. No flooding is expected, as rain is not in the forecast. It will be cloudy, with a high near 42 and a low near 32.
