OCEAN CITY, NJ — Voters will be heading to the polls on June 6 for New Jersey's primary election.

This year, Ocean City is voting for the Cape May County Surrogate, two Commissioner seats, Cape May County Sheriff and for a State Senate and two General Assembly seats.

Who's On The Ballot?

  • Surrogate: Commissioner Vice Director E. Marie Hayes is seeking the Republican nomination. There is no Democratic nominee.
  • Sherriff: Incumbent Robert A. Nolan seeks another term as the Republican candidate. There is no Democratic nominee.
  • County Commissioner: Will Morey and Melanie Collette seek the Republican nomination. Patricia O'Connor is the only Democrat running.
  • General Assembly: Two seats are open in the First Legislative District. Running together for the Republican nomination are incumbents Erik Simonsen and Antwan McClellan. Damita White-Morris and Eddie L. Bonner are seeking the Democratic nomination.
  • State Senate: Incumbent Michael Testa is seeking the Republican nomination. Charles R. Laspata is seeking the Democratic nomination.
