Rapper Beanie Sigel in Critical Condition After Being Shot at Jersey Shore

Rapper Beanie Sigel is in critical condition after he was shot in Atlantic County Friday morning, according to The Press of Atlantic City.

Police have a suspect in custody following a car chase, but his identity has not yet been released and he is not believed to be the shooter, according to the report.

The shooting occurred at a home in Pleasantville that belongs to a relative of Sigel’s wife, according to The Press.

A second person, Umar Salahuddin, was injured in the shooting, but he was not shot, according to The Press.

Sigel, originally from Philadelphia, was recently released from prison after serving two years for tax evasion.

He is a former member of Roc-a-Fella Records and its roster, the record label owned by Jay-Z.
