Registration Open For Ocean City Nor'easters Spring Recreation Program

Each session will be one hour and focus on developing basic soccer skills and technical ability through activities, drills, and scrimmages.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — The Ocean City Nor’easters soccer team will host its spring recreation program from April 22-June 17 at Richard Grimes Field at 6th Street and Bay Avenue in Ocean City, the team announced on Wednesday. Sessions will take place every Saturday, with the exception of Memorial Day Weekend.

The program provides kids with a fun, age-appropriate introduction to the game of soccer from top-level coaches from the Nor'easters organization.

Each session will be one hour and focus on developing basic soccer skills and technical ability through fun activities, drills, and scrimmages.

"The Nor'easters are excited to offer this eight week program to residents of Ocean City and it's surrounding communities," Nor'easters General Manager Giancarlo Granese Jr. said. "The program will be unique in the fact that there will be a number of player appearances throughout the duration of the program which will continue to strengthen the connection between a local youth soccer players and the collegiate athletes that are striving to play at the top level, while representing the city of Ocean City during the summer.”

The camp is for children in pre-K through eighth grade.

"It is our aim to provide a fun learning environment while developing each participant of the program regardless of age or experience of the sport of soccer,” Granese Jr. said.

Registration is $60 per child for those using the online registration, and $65 for registrations received through the mail.
