Registration Opens For Ocean City Cop Chase 5K

Ocean City's annual Cop Chase, benefitting the OCPBA, is set for June 4.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — Registration is now open for Ocean City's annual Cop Chase 5K, which will be held on June 4.

You can register online here. The pre-registration fee is $30 until May 31, when it will increase to $35. Registration for students 18 and under is $10. You can pick up packets and register on race day at the Ocean City High School track.

The five kilometer (3.1 mile) starts at 8 a.m. at Sixth Street and Boardwalk. The race travels down the Boardwalk and on the streets at the northern end of Ocean City before finishing on the Ocean City High School track.

All proceeds benefit the Ocean City Police Benevolent Association, which supports community projects such as scholarships for high school seniors, a Christmas toy drive, free bike helmets and more.

The OCPBA will also hold non-competitive fitness events during and after the races for children ages five to 12. These events are free and all participants will receive a ribbon and a chance to win a bicycle from the Tuckahoe Bike Shop.

  • Age Groups: Nine and Under, 10-12, 13-16, 17-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-and-over
  • Top Public Service Male/Female Runner (Police, Fire, EMS)
