Registration Begins Soon For Jersey Shore Powder Puff Football League in Somers Point

It’s almost time for the powder puff football season once again.

Registrations for the 2017 Jersey Shore Powder Puff Football League season take place on Jan, 7, 14, 21 and 28, 1 p.m.-4 p.m. at the Somers Point Football Field Concession stand, 598 Marks Road in Somers Point.

Registration fee is $100 per person and $50 per coach. Players must be ages 18 and up. League games are held on Saturdays from April-July.

The Jersey Shore Powder Puff League is an all-female flag football league. Players are moms, sisters, wives, and daughters who work full-time to pay bills.

Then, they pull their hair back and put on their cleats for practice during the week and games on weekends.
It was established in honor of Allen "Randy" Carney, who died of Pulmonary Fibrosis in 2006.
