School Board Tabs Greg Whelan as Newest Member

He was named following a series of interviews Wednesday night.

Greg Whelan is the newest member of the Ocean City School District Board of Education, the Ocean City Gazette reports.


Whelan, 51, of Ocean City, graduated from Ocean City High School in 1981. He was chosen by the board after it interviewed five potential candidates, according to the report.

Whelan will replace Peter Madden, who was voted to Ocean City Council in the spring and sworn in on July 1.
