Sea Isle City Unveils Flood Camera Service

SEA ISLE CITY, N.J. — Sea Isle City and the NJ Coastal Coalition will unveil a streaming emergency camera service Monday to monitor flooding on Central Avenue.

The city received a $5,000 Good Neighbor grant for the service from OceanFirst Foundation, which aids central and southern New Jersey. The camera, which you can view at njcoastalcoalition.com/sea-isle-city-web-cam, points southbound down Central Avenue.

City cameras have been a helpful way for residents and homeowners to monitor their property's area. Ocean City currently has about 90 camera streams running on attheshore.com. Read more: Ocean City Residents Would Support More Flood Cameras

The flood cameras help people not drive their vehicles in the flooded area. People can also move their vehicles to higher grounds when they see roadways flood.
