See New MTV ‘Jersey Shore’ House, Reboot Filming This Summer: Report

A new generation of fist-pumpers and spray tan lovers at the Jersey Shore has found a home base at last, according to a report.

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ - A new generation of fist-pumpers and spray tan enthusiasts at the Jersey Shore has found a home base at last, according to a report.

‘Jersey Shore 2.0,’ a reboot of the 2009 MTV reality series ‘Jersey Shore,’ won’t be uniting in Seaside Heights like the original cast. Instead, the new group will be sharing a townhouse in Atlantic City by the boardwalk, per South Jersey radio station 96.9 WFPG.

Despite Jersey Shore producers’ attempts to get the rights to film in Seaside Heights, Lavallette, Berkeley, Toms River and Brick, all towns turned down the company’s requests. But the 112-year-old Atlantic City location isn’t too shabby, with eight bedrooms, 6.5 bathrooms, a solarium, formal dining room and more.

Towns throughout Ocean County have been known to be reluctant to welcome the productions in the years since the original "Jersey Shore" aired from 2009 to 2012 due to the wild antics of the group that included a major fight at the Bamboo Bar in June 2012 that resulted in arrests and assault charges being filed.

The reboot, Jersey Shore 2.0, was first announced by Hollywood news site Deadline. The description of the show is as follows:

“It’s been 13 years since the iconic cast of Jersey Shore fist-pumped their way into our lives and stole our hearts. Now, the time-honored tradition continues with a new group of roommates moving into their own Shore house. They may have traded their poofs for plumped pouts and UV rays for spray tans, but when things heat up in Jersey, the Shore is still the place to be to make memories all summer long.”
