'Share Some Love' With Ocean City Food Drive This Month

The "Food Is Love, Share Some Love" drive is collecting donations for residents and animals in need in February.

OCEAN CITY, NJ — The Ocean City Board of Realtors is hosting their annual food drive this February, with a new twist for 2023.

The "Food Is Love, Share Some Love" winter food drive is not just collecting donations for the Ecumenical Council Food Cupboard. It's also supporting Ocean City's four-legged residents and benefitting the Humane Society of Ocean City.

Donations are being collected now through Feb. 28.

The Food Cupboard is seeking non-perishable food items, laundry and dish detergent, as well as ShopRite and ACME gift cards. Donations may be dropped off at 405 22nd Street.

These are some specific items the Food Cupboard needs:

  • Peanut Butter
  • Jelly 18-20 oz container
  • Boxes of crackers, e.g., Ritz, Triscuit
  • Canned Fruit 15oz cans
  • Dried (Powdered) Milk
  • Manuchan/Ramen Noodles
  • Gain Laundry Detergent Small Bottles
  • Dawn Dishwashing Detergent - Small Bottles
  • Cereal 18 -20 oz Boxes
  • Tissues
  • ShopRite or ACME gift cards

The Humane Society is in need of the following:

  • Cat food - wet canned
  • Dog and cat treats
  • Rabbit pellets
  • Cat or dog beds
  • Towels
  • Blankets
  • Paper towels
  • Laundry detergent and dish detergent
  • Gift cards from Tractor Supply, PetSmart or Chewy.
