SOMERS POINT, NJ — Shore Medical Center in Somers Point has named Maria Sanchez of Egg Harbor Township its April 2026 Guardian Angel of the Month, recognizing her for compassionate patient care.

Shore announced the honor April 1 and said Sanchez works as a Stress Tech/EKG Tech in the Non-Invasive Cardiac Lab within the Diagnostic Imaging Department.

According to Shore Medical Center, Sanchez has been part of the hospital team for more than 38 years. The hospital said it created the Guardian Angel program to give patients and families a way to thank a special caregiver through a donation made in that person's honor.
